ABOUT
The Helping Hands Education & Welfare Society is an independent non-governmental / nonprofit organization (NPO) that is positioned to offer, provide and render an inter-pectoral and integrated developmental social service to meet the human and social needs of vulnerable communities, in particular children, youth and their respective families within Indian Development Community. Fountain of Youth’s long-term goal is to actively contribute towards a new dispensation that deliberately supports and strengthens families in the country by eliminating all conditions eroding the family, inter alia, poverty and inequality, unemployment, Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) / Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS), gender inequality and gender-based violence, domestic violence and child abuse. As a youth focused non-governmental (NGO) with not for gain objectives, HH-EWS focuses on the rural and per-urban context where it is positioned as a youth sector implementing agent, social services provider as well as a policy-orientated organization that aims to influence policy development and good practice.
HH-EWS is fast developing as a resource center promoting partnerships, networking, capacity building, training program, action-oriented projects, and like- minded organizations for sustainable development.

OBJECTIVES
To eradicate illiteracy.
To reduce poverty by improving economic status of individuals through income generation activities.
To improve health status of communities through health education, environmental cleanliness, and increasing access to primary health and child care centers in remote villages.
To organize women into self help groups and develop their leadership qualities to facilitate making decisions at personal and social levels.
To inculcate the habit of thrift (savings) and credit among target groups.
To eliminate bonded, forced, child labor and slavery.
To promote gender equality.
CORE OBJECTIVES
1. Income Generation / Self Employment Activities (rural & urban area).
2. Catering to Health needs (Water & Sanitation activities and research).
3. Educational Services for children and Women Empowerment.
4. Integrated Development Project through Government departments.
5. Agriculture, Watershed development, Forest and organic farming.
6. For Water and Natural Resources.


MAJOR ACTIVITIES
Health care activities in rural villages include free health camps and awareness programs.
Vocational training: Programs are organized for unemployed women to build their skills and make them profitable.
Training programs for groups of 25 women include tailoring, knitting, embroidery, handloom weaving and making leather products.
Night schools for illiterate women: Female literacy in Kadappa district is low. To address this night schools operate to teach basic and functional literacy.
Operating pre-schools for children where there are no government run pre-primary schools (anganwadis).
Women’s development program: Organizing women into self-help groups, promotion of savings and credit activities, and small businesses development through microfinance .
